'GTA 6' Release Date, Map & News: New Gameplay Feature Rockstar May Introduce [Rumors]
Rockstar's "Grand Theft Auto" is a game favorite, and it's been two years since they released the fifth installment. There are no news yet about the next one, but fans are lready thinking up what they want to see in the game's highly-anticipated follow-up.
Here are some fan suggestions for the gameplay, as noted by Movie Pilot:
- Accessible Buildings - not every single building in the GTA universe is accessible which makes it a bit difficult when you're on the run from the (videogame) law. Sure, it's a massive request but it will make the game that more awesome.
- Incorporation of different cities - it gets boring going around and around the same city, no matter how action-packed the play is. Why not make things more entertaining by making sure characters can travel to different cities -- by land, sea, or air, or heck, even just by running.
- Destructable environment - imagine being able to destroy parts of Los Santos.
- Realism - gamers nowadays would want even a semblance of reality in their games (why else would people demand for better graphics all the time?) but by this realism, it just means running out of fuel, more vigilant police, and even safety for civilians like having random searches and check points.
- Hiring and managing crew members - because it's great if you can form your own gang, although some might note that it's going to be too close to "Saints Row".
Bonus: multiple protagonists - because it's fun to get to play more than just one character. Sure, GTA 5 already has a multiplayer mode, but it's still a bit wonky, which Rockstar should fix by the next installment. Also, it will be even more fun if the new lead is female.
Despite fans already clamoring the next GTA installment, it has already been reported that GTA VI is not expected to arrive anytime soon. Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick explained that the company has always prioritized quality over quantity, even if it means releasing only a few games a year. Not that he specifically mentioned this in reference to GTA VI, but Christian Today noted that the words are already indicative of the one of the company's most popular games.
Even Neuro Gadget mentioned that GTA VI may not even be released in the next two years as it takes a lot of time for the developers to build it. If the outlet is to be believed, it should be released sometime in 2019 or 2020.
